About Waterside
 
Opened in August 2007, this Anglo/Sri Lankan owned Boutique Villa Hotel and a la Carte Restaurant is becoming increasingly popular in Bentota, and renowned for its high quality and friendly service. We also have a fully licensed bar for residents and guests. The restaurant serves Sri Lankan specialities, International cuisine and seafood. The tranquil location is unique amongst the palm groves, and rural village life. All rooms have outstanding views over the garden, pool and river and the sunsets from the rooftop bar are spectacular.

Location
Waterside is well sign posted from the Galle Road. First proper turn on the left, after Bentota Bridge, direction S. to Galle. Follow the road alongside the river for 1km where there is another sign left to Waterside. We can also be reached by boat from Bentota and Aluthgama.
Bentota

The premier tourist resort in Sri Lanka, boasts a magnificent long sandy beach. The lagoon is well known for a variety of water sports including, windsurfing, waterskiing and jet ski , all of which can be accessed by our boat from Waterside, and we can also take you fishing or early morning bird watching or to the beach.

Weddings & Special Occasions

The peaceful setting by the river, with gardens and a rooftop bar make this an ideal place to hold your wedding or special anniversary. We can cater for up to 150. Roshan, our chef will be happy to discuss menus and any individual requests regarding your special occasion. We can arrange, flowers, fireworks. Kandyan dancers and drummers, disco etc. Romantic poolside tables or candlelit BBQ in the garden can make your day memorable.

 
Sight Seeing and Trips
 

We arrange all kinds of excursions, one day trips to Galle, the Pinnewela Elephant Orphanage, or to Brief Gardens and the Turtle Hatcheries, to a full 8-11 day tour of the Island taking in the Cultural Triangle, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya hill country and tea plantations or to Yala, the National Park on the South Coast, well known for its leopards and elephant. Sri Lanka is especially famous for its exquisite birdlife and many endemic species can be seen by taking an early morning boat ride from Waterside up the Bentota river.
